I got to thinking that six months is a long time to be rewarded for something that takes a whole lot of commitment and self control. I have decided to up the incentive by giving out the gift card every 3 months. For those who want to contribute to the prize, I'm only asking for $5 every 3 months.

Jill had a great idea of how to determine who had the largest weight loss for the 6 month prize. It would not be completely fair to go by the lbs lost because we are all different. So what we will do is go by percentage weight. It is really easy to figure out.
Example: Starting weight 200. Weight after 1 week 190. Take 190/200 = .95 Take 1-.95 = .05 Move the decimal over and we get 5%
So each week I will ask for the percentage weight loss. If you would like, you can also put how many lbs you lost.
We've already got a few people that are wanting to get started in this challenge. Get ready to weigh in next Sunday and be on your way to the prize!

Let's get motivated! Anyone in the family is welcome to join the weight loss motivation challenge. We'll have a weigh in each week on Sunday's. I won't make us put our weight on the blog but if we each put how much we lost during the week it will be a great motivator. We will officially start the challenge on March 1st. You can set your own monthly goals. My personal goal will be to lose 10 lbs. in March. Every six months we will see who has lost the most weight in that time frame and I will be giving the winner a gift card for a clothing store. If anyone wants to contribute funds to the cause you're more than welcome to. Just let me know and we'll come up with a dollar amount that everyone agrees upon. If you don't want to contribute, that's ok also. I will be updating a new recipe each week. If you have any recipes you would like to add feel free! If you have any other ideas to add to the blog let me know. I'm ready to lose some pounds for summer! Who's with me?!
